Central Asia Tire Testing Ground of Linglong Group Started Business for Trial Operation

On October 18, a large outdoor tire testing ground — Central Asia Tire Testing Ground opened for trial operation and a grand ceremony was held for it in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province.

The testing ground was built with RMB 1.13 Billion Yuan invested by Linglong Group. It was designed, instructed on construction and supervised by IDIADA Company of Spain, the biggest testing ground certificate and operation authority of the world. It was operated with full authority by Shandong IDIADA Automobile and Tire Testing Ground Co., Ltd. — a third-party public service detection platform.

It is reported that Central Asia Tire Testing Ground laid a foundation in Zhaoyuan Binhai New Area, Yantai City on April 6, 2012. During the designing and building of this program, IDIADA Company fully absorbed experience from developed countries. Based on the completeness of functions and advancement of technologies, it is equipped with various world-leading experimental detection facilities. The testing ground covers an area of 150 hectares, where 16 tire testing tracks were built, including the high-speed circuit, noise testing track, straight-line braking road, dry-wet control road, fatigue durability road, off-road road, dynamic square, testing hill, etc., with a total length of 17.8 kilometers and a paving area of 370,000 square meters. These independent roads are respectively aimed at conducting on-the-spot monitoring and indoor experiments on over 40 performance indexes, including high-speed function, noise, braking, NVH and comfortableness, dry/wet land controllability, durability, general performances, etc., and they can meet the needs of certificate experiments for tire laws and regulations and of R&D experiments of products. 2,847 times of all-type tire testing programs can be conducted there every year for cars, light trucks, cargo trucks, passenger cars, etc., amounting to an annual experimental mileage of 6.9 million kilometers.

Meanwhile, the testing ground is also equipped for automobile road testing, which enables it not only to comprehensively examine various performance indexes of automobiles but also to be of significance for improving products and designing new ones.

Ground also built auxiliary buildings and facilities like the office building, canteen, client workshop, car overhaul workshop, gas station, tire garage, etc., covering a floor area of up to 21,000 square meters.
