Shenyang, China – French automotive and rubber parts supplier Hutchinson is ramping up its recently opened plant in Shenyang Dadong, the company has announced.
The facility has been operational since July 2016, as the company produced the first off-tool body sealing system parts for BMW.
Since October 2016, the plant has also housed large-scale production for fluid management systems, said Hutchinson.
The facility supplies fuel systems for two major customers: BMW and Kautex.
Most recently, in January, the site’s foam and converting division, which is part of Hutchinson’s precision sealing systems business was started up.
This unit will, said the French supplier, will cover operations for a “BMW project to industrialise twinsheet thermoforming.”
