On June 15, 2016, China Rubber Industry Association (“CRIA”) released the Tire Grading Standard, Management Rules for Tire Labeling and CRIA tire labeling styles and formally implemented voluntary posting of tire labels on September 15. Up to the end of the year, after review of the applicants’ materials by the experts, CRIA had signed the tire label usage agreement with 9 enterprises and issued “Chinese Tire Label” to these enterprises. 9 enterprises are respectively Shandong Doublestar Tire, Qingdao Doublestar Tire, Double Coin (Jiangsu), Double Coin (Chongqing), Fengyuan Tire, Guizhou Tire, Double Coin (Anhui) Huili, Shandong Linglong and Pirelli Tire. In addition, 16 domestic and foreign-funded large-scale tire enterprises have filed an application on the online declaration platform. The implementation of the tire labeling system makes consumers directly distinguish the tire quality, leads the green manufacturing and green consumption, and accelerates the structural adjustment, technical progress and quality improvement of Chinese tires.
