Cabot Won Shanghai Green Supply Chain “Design & Innovation Award”

On February 28, Shanghai Cabot Chemical Co., Ltd. won Excellent Case 2016 “Design & Innovation Award” by its “Green Cycle” project in the Green Supply Chain 2017 Shanghai Summit hosted by Shanghai Society for Environmental Science, Shanghai Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, etc.

Since the launch of green supply chain project in Shanghai, Shanghai Cabot has won this honor and recognition for two consecutive years and successively presented China’s pioneering “Tank-type Semi-trailer for Carbon Black Transport” project and the “Green Cycle” project this time, which provides good experience reference in realizing recycling utilization for resources, energy conservation and emission reduction, energy efficiency improvement and green manufacturing in the whole process of supply chain.

Going green and environmental protection are the cores and drive forces for the industry to achieve green and sustainable development. Therefore, Cabot keeps improvement and innovation to improve the energy efficiency, lower the resource consumption and so as to reduce the environmental footprints. As a result, Cabot Tianjin plant has topped the list of CPCIF (China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation) “Energy Efficiency Top-Runner” Benchmarking Enterprises in Carbon Black Industry and Cabot Shanghai plant has been awarded “12th Five-Year Plan” Advanced Unit for Environmental Protection among National Petroleum and Chemical Industry, which also sets a standard for improving industry benchmarks.
