Achievement of Alkylphenol Acetylene Tackifying Resin of Laiwu Runda Being Well Received

On June 9, the Appraisal and Promotion Conference of Technological Achievement of Alkylphenol Acetylene Tackifying Resin of Shandong Laiwu Runda New Materials Co., Ltd. was held in Laiwu City.

The attending experts fully affirmed and spoke highly of this achievement and reached consensus that this achievement reached the international advanced level of similar technologies and products. The specific evaluation opinions were as follows:

Firstly, this achievement completed key technology researches on preparation of alkylphenol acetylene tackifying resin, including catalyst screening, reaction process conditions, reaction kettle structure and form and process safety technology research of reaction process, to form packaged technology for preparation of alkylphenol acetylene tackifying resin.

Secondly, it adopted independently developed technology to build the industrial production device for alkylphenol acetylene tackifying resin and had initially formed the series products of different brands to produce the products in batch. The product performance test results indicated that the softening point, ash content, heating loss, infrared spectrum, etc. of tackifying resin were identical to those of similar foreign resins; the result of application test carried out by many tire producers indicated that the composite tackifying resin possessed excellent initial viscosity, viscosity retention and low heat building performance, and the overall performance satisfied the user requirements.

Thirdly, the treatment measures of “three waste” during production were reasonable and feasible and emission of “three waste” conformed to the requirements of environmental protection.

Fourthly, the independently developed packaged technology for alkylphenol acetylene tackifying resin had innovation and proprietary intellectual property right in reaction process conditions, reaction kettle structure and form and process safety technology research of reaction process and had applied for 5 patents for invention and 3 patents for utility model, in which the patents for utility model had been authorized. This achievement had reached the international advanced level of similar technologies and products.

It is learned that rubber tackifying resin is one of the important chemicals during rubber processing, whose main functions are promoting self viscosity and mutual viscosity of size, improving tire processing, shaping and use performance and reducing quality defect of tire rough. Alkylphenol acetylene tackifying resin with best performance has good compatibility with natural rubber and synthetic rubber, has long-acting tackifying effect under severe conditions such as high temperature and high humidity and has the performance incomparable for other tackifying resins. At present, the representative products are produced by Germany company, China needs to completely depend on import and the price is expensive.

This company started to organize tackling in 2008, the project was listed as major special project for independent innovation of Shandong Province in 2012, and the industrial project was completed and put into production and the products were launched in 2015.
