Fengyuan Tire Developing High-tech Products Such as Full-Life-Circle Smart Tire

Lately, Shandong Province published the plan of second batch of technological innovation projects of 2017, in which 52 projects of 19 enterprises in rubber industry were included. Among all project plans of rubber industry, Shandong Fengyuan Tire Manufacturing Co., Ltd. ranked 2nd in quantity with 6 projects such as “Research and Development of Full-Life-Cycle Smart Tire”.

There 6 projects are respectively:

(1) Research and Development of Full-Life-Cycle Smart Tire. Chips are implanted on the basis of existing tires to record all data of the tire from raw material to production to use, and the user and the manufacturer can directly read the data.

(2) Development of High-performance Nailed Snow Tire Product. The product possesses wide thread to provide stronger road grabbing; dense Z-shaped tiny grooves on the pattern can effectively cut the water film on the icy and snowy ground, thus ensuring shorter braking length of icy and snowy ground. Symmetric and reasonable arrangement of nailing position provides stronger road grabbing on icy and snowy ground. The thread is designed with new formula to enhance the braking capacity of the tire on snowy ground, prolong the life of the tire on different roads and effectively extend the service life of ice nail simultaneously.

(3) Research and Development of “Four Anti” Tire. As an independently developed and produced project, chips will be implanted inside the tire on the basis of the completed “three anti” tire (anti-static, anti-gas leakage and anti-tire burst), the chips contain unique anti-fake mode, which changes the conditions of fake products and reconditioned products brought about by tier bar code during use and perfects the problems of the tire such as anti-fake and after sale. Compared with similar products and technologies at home and abroad, the project products belong to international advanced technology.

(4) Development of High-strength Polyester Cord. Instead of ordinary polyester cord, high-strength polyester cord possesses the advantage of reducing the thickness and weight of tire body on the premise of equal strength, or the feature of effectively improving the tire strength and safety with the same cord model and weight. It has high use value for reducing tire weight, lowering tire rolling resistance and improving tire safety and helps improve market competitiveness of the tire. The high speed and durability performance of the tires produced satisfies the requirements of R&D standard.

(5) Development of Anti-pollution White Side Wall Formula. As for color change of the tire with white side wall and colorful side wall, the project redesigns the side wall formula and develops new anti-aging agent and formula; and as for white glue black side wall of side wall components, the project re-develops the formula of white glue or color glue and cover rubber to develop the components of new formula with little pollution and even no pollution, and carries out trial manufacturing of finished tires, thus making the users satisfied and enhancing the product competitiveness.

(6) Research and Development of Poisonless, Harmless and Eco-frienly Cobalt Salt-free Semi-steel Tire. A poisonless, harmless and eco-friendly cobalt saltfree semi-steel tire will be developed, with no cobalt salt added in the rubber formula. Special formula of cobalt salt-free steel belt compound shall be developed to match with special three-phase cobalt plating steel cord. It is required that its formula and the viscosity with the steel cord shall reach the requirements of the standard for daily examination of physical property made by the enterprise, that is, ≥ 500N/piece. The high speed and durability performance of the tires produced satisfies the requirements of R&D standard.
