The annual 120,000-ton carbon black project of Birla Carbon Jining plant officially went into operation on September 8. Total USD 295 Million was invested in this plant for developing 240,000 tons of top carbon black per year.

Jining plant keeps to Birla’s SOE strategy. Through its technique, it ensures that the direct emission of CO2 produced by each ton of carbon black is far below the industrial standard while the plant can also keep operating with the best efficiency. Due to its own energy management system, high pressure steam and electronic power simultaneously produced by the heat and power combined equipment can firstly meet the demand of the plant itself, while the excess electric energy will also be transported to the state grid, which is conductive to reducing the use of fossil fuel and the emission of relevant waste gas. With the application of advanced desulfurization and denitrification boilers, this plant reaches Chinese environmental standard for its emission control.
