Cabot Asia Technology Center was Opened in Shanghai

On September 15, the latest Asia Technology Center of Cabot Company was formally put into use in Shanghai. This R&D center will improve the capability of Cabot in application and development and provide a top-level platform for cooperation, making Cabot better at providing innovative solutions to clients in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Asia Technology Center near the Cabot Asia-Pacific region headquarters covers an area of 4,500 m2, which is equipped with advanced testing facilities for analysis and application while providing the world’s top services in technology application. By virtue of the testing and developing ability that is closely related to Cabot customer application, the center provides support for Cabot in terms of such business as rubber and special carbon black, gaseous metallic oxide, master batch and mixture, activated carbon and ink jet colorants, etc.

In terms of personnel arrangement, the center will be equipped with nearly 30 researchers and scientists from all fields of business of Cabot in the early stage. They will use different technology platforms to develop new solutions for customers. This team pays special attention to serving clients of Cabot in China and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region while satisfying clients’ unique requirements of various key applications. The center will also make full use of the professional and exquisite skills of other R&D teams within the global R&D network of Cabot.
