The Employment Research Report on the Bike-sharing Industry released in 2017 by the Sharing Economy Research Center of the National Information Center predicted that the total number of shared bikes that were put on the market in 2017 approached 20 million. The explosive growth of bike-sharing triggered the comprehensive recovery of the bicycle industry and brought new opportunities for the bicycle tire industry as it pushed the substantial growth of demand while promoting application of new materials and improvement of product quality. Bike-sharing took the lead in applying non-pneumatic tires to the bicycle field in quantity, starting the revolutionary innovation in bicycle tire products. The cycle of product upgrading in the industry was shortened, and a batch of attractive new bicycle tire products was put on the market. Meanwhile, the bike-sharing market also attracted wellknown material suppliers and tire manufacturers to R&D and manufacturing of bicycle tire materials and products promoting the transformation and upgrading of the industry.
