Chinese-Made Aircraft Tires Assisting Big Plane with a Successful Maiden Flight

China’s large amphibious aircraft “Kun Long” AG600 that was applied with home-grown aircraft tires completed its maiden flight in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province on December 24, 2017. Its front tires and main tires are all Sanhuan aircraft tires produced by CHEMCHINA Shuguang Rubber Industry Research & Design Institute.

Y-20, AG600 and C919 are known as China’s homegrown “Three Big Plane” projects. Shuguang Rubber Industry Research & Design Institute has been the exclusive supporting manufacturer of aircraft tires for the first two projects and the alternative supplier of C919 big plane project.

AG600 aircraft has two front tires with the specification of 27×7.75-12 15PR, tire diameter of 0.68m and weight of 18.8kg and four main tires with the specification of H40×14.5-19 22PR, tire diameter of 1.01m and weight of 63kg. The normal speed of these tires can all be up to 362km/h.
