Recently, the high-strength styrene butadiene rubber SBR1566 product independently developed by Jilin Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemicals successfully completed industrial production, with the main index tensile strength reaching over 30MPa.
As predicted by the conveyor belt enterprises, if the tensile strength of SBR reaches over 30MPa, the ratio of its replacement of natural rubber can reach 50%, which has an important significance for lowering cost of conveyor belt production enterprises and reducing the reliance on natural rubber.
Special material for high-strength SBR trial-manufactured by Jilin Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemicals underwent the application test of replacement of natural rubber by 30%-35% in two domestic largest conveyor belt production enterprises, Zhejiang Double Arrow Rubber Co., Ltd. and Shandong ContiTech Engineered Product Co., Ltd., and the result showed that the tensile strength of the trial products was equivalent to that of natural rubber products, with the tensile strength improved by over 10%.
