SAIC-METZELER to Expand the 3rd Sealing Strip Factory in a Different Place

Recently, SAIC-METZELER Sealing Systems (Shenyang) Co., Ltd. decided to invest 23.2987 Million Yuan in the expand project for automobile sealing strip extrusion line so as to meet the production needs of auto manufacturers, such as Beisheng Auto Co., Ltd. and GM Yantai.

The expand project is said to manufacture 5 million meters of automotive TPV sealing strip and 8 million meters of automotive EPDM sealing strip per year. TPV sealing strip is used for guide groove and belt line moulding while EPDM sealing strip is mainly used for guide groove, belt line moulding, door lining, suitcase and door opening. Meanwhile, some processing and production equipment will be added in this project.

The expanded project excludes rubber mixing process. Thus, all rubber strips are out-purchased and the annual amount of usage is 800 tons.

Besides the factory in Shanghai head office, SAIC-METZELER also established another two holding subsidiaries in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province and Huai’an, Jiangsu Province. As the 3rd factory in a different place, Shenyang factory was launched in 2014 and put into operation in 2016. Its production scale is 22.81 million meters of sealing strip per year and the rubber mixing capacity is 5,900 tons per year.
