Top 10 News on China Rubber Industry in 2018 - No. 8: Environmental Protection and Green Production Were Highly Effective

19 February 2019 | Source from China Rubber Journal

In 2018, the environmental protection and green production of the rubber industry were fruitful. Tire enterprises have increased their investment in environmental protection, focusing on green design, green technology and green supply chain throughout the whole production process. Many companies have been selected into green factories of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Triangle (Weishan) Huada Tire and Zhongce Chaoyang Tire achieved significant effect on waste gas and waste water treatment. The rubber chemicals industry attached great importance to source treatment and end treatment, basically solving the problem of high-salt organic waste water in the industry. Many enterprises have upgraded production and environmental protection processes in new production lines, and the whole industry has achieved environmentally-friendly standardized discharge. Leading enterprises have withstood the country’s environmental protection supervision, ensuring the “stable supply” of rubber chemicals. The carbon black industry has vigorously upgraded the “three wastes” treatment technology to achieve ultra-low discharge of boiler flue gas and comprehensive utilization of tail gas power generation. For example, Shijiazhuang Xinxing Chemical Carbon Co., Ltd. is the first in the carbon black industry to achieve whitening treatment, achieving ultra-low discharge of pollutant. The waste rubber comprehensive utilization industry was actively undergoing green transformation. In particular in the reclaimed rubber industry, the production process was constantly being reformed, reducing exhaust emissions from the source; the continuous desulfurization equipment under normal pressure has gained more applications; and the automation level has been significantly improved.
