Firmly Take the High-End Route Keep Improving Tire Quality and Service Level of Double Coin

Faced with the fierce competition in tire industry, in 2016, based on detailed argumentation and certification research, Double Coin Tyre Group Ltd. decided to proceed with strategic adjustment and take a high-quality development route. After several years of continuous reform, adjustment, integration and innovation, the goal of high-quality development of Double Coin Company has become firmer and firmer, the route has become clearer and clearer, and the confidence has become more and more sufficient. In the first half of 2019, the main business income of Double Coin Company has increased by about 16% year-on-year, and the total profit has increased significantly year-on-year. The Thai intelligent manufacturing plant has basically achieved full production and sales.

 

Integrate & Innovate, and Improve the Level of Intelligent Manufacturing

Double Coin Company takes China’s most professional tire manufacturer and service provider as its development vision, and unswervingly promotes intelligent manufacturing and smart service work centering on customers’ needs and market changes. According to the company’s strategic development plan, while adjusting Shanghai Min-hang factory, Double Coin started the construction of Thai factory at the same time in 2016. After nine months of construction, on June 30, 2017, the first testing tire of Huayi Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Double Coin project was off the assembly line. In the first half of this year, the Thai factory accelerated its commissioning of specification, fully supported North American market, focused on opening up European market, and warmed up Thailand and surrounding markets, achieving steady growth in sales, steadily improving the product quality pass rate, and basically achieving full production and sales.

The Thai factory of Double Coin takes the lead in achieving the integration of six systems, and has adopted the “4411” pattern to create a brand new intelligentized manufacturing factory of all-steel tire. The so-called “4411” pattern, namely 4 sets of automated stereoscopic warehouse system, 4 sets of automatic conveying system, 1 set of semi-product AGV conveying system and 1 set of informatization management system. Among them, 4 sets of automated stereoscopic warehouse system include: automated stereoscopic warehouse of raw material, automated stereoscopic warehouse of master/finished batch, automated stereoscopic warehouse of large rolling cord fabric and automated stereoscopic warehouse of green tire; 4 sets of automated conveying system include: automatic conveying system of natural rubber crushing and homogenization and synthetic rubber, automatic conveying system of shaped green tire, automatic conveying system of vulcanized green tire and detecting and automatic sorting system of finished tire; 1 set of informatization management system includes: ERP system, MES system, PLM system, sales system, and OA system, etc.

Based on the experience of intelligent production line of the Thai factory, Double Coin Company promotes and replicates the intelligent manufacturing mode in domestic factories. The new project in Xinjiang factory also adopts new intelligent manufacturing technology. The factory in Jiangsu combines the actual situation of the plant to transform intelligently, saving a lot of labor, improving production efficiency, and stabilizing and improving product quality.

At present, the structural adjustment of China’s tire industry has achieved initial results. The proportion of all-steel tubeless tires has increased year by year, the market demand has become more rational, the brand effect has become more prominent, and the credit system has been more perfect. This is favorable news for Double Coin. The tubeless products are the iconic products of Double Coin. At present, the production accounts for more than 65%.

In order to further improve product quality and enhance market competitiveness of product, Double Coin Company strengthens onsite process control, strengthens the size control of extruded and calendered parts, ensures symmetry and length stability, strengthens framework material control and process control of molding and vulcanization processes, strictly pays attention to key control points and process execution rates, and ensures the stability and improvement of product quality.
