On April 14, after more than 10 hours of intense and orderly work by the commissioning technicians, Qingdao Black Cat New Material Research Institute Co., Ltd. successfully put the low lag green carbon black pilot test R&D line into commissioning and obtained the first batch of samples.

The head of Qingdao Black Cat Research Institute said that in the next step, some problems found in the transformation and commissioning process will be completed as soon as possible, and the formal mass production will be started in mid-May. The pilot line of Qingdao Research Institute was started in the first half of 2019. The success of the trial run marks a big step forward for the market-oriented development of low lag green carbon black products independently developed by Black Cat.

Qingdao Black Cat Research Institute entered the Sino-German ecological park in Qingdao West Coast New Area in September 2017. The construction of the Institute is expected to invest 150 million yuan. The first phase covers an area of about 40 mu. The construction content includes the international first-class carbon material testing room, R&D center and the introduction of international first-class talent team. The preliminary work is to research and develop green carbon materials for rubber with independent intellectual property rights and the pilot production.
