On July 26, the large-scale firefighting/water rescue amphibious aircraft AG600 independently developed by China, named "Kunlong." It successfully achieved the first flight at sea in the waters near Qingdao, Shandong.
The Shuguang Rubber Industry Research and Design Institute has assembled two front tires and four main tires independently developed for the aircraft's landing gear system, with a rated speed of 362 km/h.
AG600 can repeatedly throw water back and forth between the water source and the fire site to extinguish it. It can draw water from the water surface or inject water at the land airport. It can carry up to 12 tons of water. The covering area of single water throwing can reach more than 4000 square meters. Emergency rescue can save 50 people in distress at one time.
