On October 17, the global leader in the carbon black industry, Orion Engineered Carbons, invested RMB 858.16 million yuan to build a 120,000 tons/year new carbon black project in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, China. It covers an area of 106,800 square meters, with a construction area of 31,500 square meters. The new environmental protection investment is RMB 80 million yuan, accounting for 9.32% of the total investment. The main products include 45,000 tons of special carbon black and 75,000 tons of carbon black for high-end rubber products.
The project will be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, two production lines will be built to form a production capacity of 70,000 tons/year. In the second phase, two more production lines will form capacity of 50,000 tons/year.
