Global Tire Tech Forum opens in Xi'an!

On June 22, with the theme of "green environmental protection and innovative future", the 8th Global Tire Technology Forum (GTTF) was held in Xi'an, the ancient capital of 13 dynasties.

Lei Changchun, Vice President and Secretary General of China Rubber Industry Association, delivered a speech on behalf of China Rubber Industry Association. He extended warm welcome and sincere greetings to nearly 300 guests and representatives by addressing "I would like to express my sincere thanks to the enterprises and scientific research institutions that supported the successful convening of this conference!"

He said that in late April, the China Rubber Industry Association held a new election in Qingdao. In the first year of the 14th five-year plan, the 10th Council took over the historical task of promoting China's transition from a big rubber industry country to a powerful rubber industry country, and also clearly put forward ten goals of building a powerful rubber industry country.

Lei Changchun gave a brief report on some of the work carried out by the association in the first half of this year. First, actively strengthened the communication and contact with the government, and actively reflected the hot and difficult issues of the industry. A lot of work has been done on import tariff and verification of natural rubber, consumption tax on imported environment-friendly aromatic oil for tires, anti-dumping and countervailing measures against China's tires, and cooperation with Shandong Province to improve tire production capacity accounting methods.

Second, China Rubber Association actively promoted the formulation of group standards as an effective supplement to national standards and industry standards, so as to promote and lead the technological innovation and progress of the industry. In the first half of the year, the association approved 8 group standards, including 7 tire standards; Four group standards were issued, including one for tires.

Third, China's green tire industrialization has continued to deepen, and China's tire labeling system is further improved. As of June, 62 enterprises registered information in China tire label database, 183 Chinese tire labels in use, a total of 926 specifications.

Lei Changchun reported the operation of the tire industry. In the first quarter of this year, the tire industry operated well, and all indicators increased significantly. However, since April, the industry's sales revenue, profits and other indicators have decreased significantly compared with March, and the market still shows a downward trend in May compared with April. The tire industry shows a high opening and low going trend with large fluctuations.

Lei Changchun said that the development problems faced by our tire industry are still severe. The impact of structural overcapacity, high export dependence, international trade frictions, environmental protection and "carbon peak" and "carbon neutralization" on the tire industry is still a long way to go. All of these require the continuous efforts of colleagues in the tire industry.

He believes that the Global Tire Tech Forum is an important platform for promoting technical exchanges in the tire industry and promoting cooperation and development between upstream and downstream tire related enterprises, universities and research institutes.

It is hoped that speaking experts and conference representatives will take this forum as an opportunity to collide with ideas, contribute insights and learn from successful experiences, and jointly promote the transformation and upgrading of the rubber industry and achieve high-quality development at the historical node of the new journey of building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
