120,000 tons of new carbon black project laid the foundation in Anhui

On August 26, Orion Engineering Carbon (Huaibei) Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new type carbon black project with an annual output of 120,000 tons.

The production base is the 15th new plant in the world and the second in China invested and constructed by Orion Engineering Carbon Group. It is located in the new coal chemical synthetic material base in Anhui (Huaibei).

The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of next year and put into production in early 2023. It will mainly produce mid-to-high-end rubber carbon black and special carbon black. The products are widely used in textile fibers, plastics, coatings, inks, special rubber products and tires.

As a sustainable development innovator and a company that actively fulfills social responsibilities, Orion will invest a lot of money to equip the factory with the most advanced environmental protection technology in the country, and use the waste heat from carbon black production to produce steam, which will be provided to the enterprise users in the park to support The green economic model of the park.
