CGEC ventures into waste tire cracking carbon black industry

On December 13, Deng Wenzhong, Vice General Manager of China Chemical Guilin Engineering Company Limited, led a team to visit Zhang Liqun, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Vice President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The two sides had a friendly exchange on the cooperation of scientific research projects in the past five years, the effectiveness of transformation of technical achievements and the intention of follow-up cooperation.

Zhang Liqun expressed his approval of Guilin's industrial layout of actively exploring new industries in solid waste resource utilization in rubber field, rubber and new chemical materials by implementing the strategic deployment of China National Chemical Corporation, and expressed his approval of the cracked carbon black high-value process with its own characteristics jointly explored by both sides, which is a breakthrough in the common cracked carbon black high-value process in the industry and has room for further research.

At the symposium, the two sides also had a comprehensive communication and exchange on the resource utilization of waste tires, engineering industrialization of rubber materials and joint training of talents. Both sides expressed their hope to give full play to their respective advantages and work together to promote cooperation to achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation.

On October 13, Guilin Company organized a pre-review meeting for the industrialization of waste tire cracking carbon black high value project, the meeting was held around the waste tire cracking carbon black high value project industrialization pre-research report for full communication and discussion, agreed that the project is in line with the national advocacy of circular economy, low carbon, environmental protection industrial policy, can effectively promote the comprehensive utilization of waste tires industry quality development, has good social and economic benefits, and has a broad industrialization prospect.
