Chinese rubber imports fall by a third in January - reports

Beijing (Feb. 10, 2012) – Chinese imports of synthetic rubber (including latex) in January 2012 was 100,758 tons, down 27.8 percent,; the value amounted to $ 357, million down 16.6 percent.

Meanwhile imports of natural rubber (including latex) in January 2012 was 140,000 tons, a decline of 33.3%; imports amounted to 451.293 million U.S. dollars, down 29.1 percent.
