China sets up 4-year project for Nd-BR

Beijing (Apr. 6, 2012) – China has reportedly begin a four-year research project to develop processes to make neodymium-catalysed butadiene rubber.

A number of institutions and universities are combining in a research project to create a pilot plant for Nd-BR materials. It said Xinjiang Science and Technology Agency, Karamay Petrochemical, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun Institute of the National Science and Technology, and Xinjiang University will jointly conduct the project, which has three main aspects, including the chemistry; the chemical engineering and a practical project to build a pilot-scale reactor.
