Beijing, China (Jun. 5, 2012) – China's imports of accelerators for rubber compounds decreased by volume, but rose by value in 2011.It said that total imports in 2011 were down by 9 percent, to 15,400 tonnes, worth US$8 million, around 1 percent more than the previous year.
Exports of 67,700 tonnes dwarfed the imports, but were around 2 percent lower than the previous year. The value of exports increased by 10 percent to US$21,800 million. This suggests an increase of 13 percent in the unit value of exports, to $3216/tonne.
