China’s Shandong Linglong Tyre Co. Ltd. is planning to build a tire manufacturing plant in Serbia, multiple news outlets report.
The company will invest around $1 billion to build the plant, according to Balkan Insight. The plant will be located in Serbia’s Zrenjanin Free Trade Zone, SeeNews reported on Monday from a company filing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The report said the company plans to produce over 13 million high-performance radial tires per year at the factory. Construction is slated to start in April 2019 and be completed March 2025, according to SeeNews.
