On July 5, an investor asked about the progress of Linglong’s large aircraft tires, and described Linglong tires as “the light of domestic products”. Linglong Tire responded on the platform that the main tire of a certain model developed by the company has completed third-party testing. At the same time, the company's Tongchuan plant has planned a 100,000 sets of aviation tire project.
On June 9, Linglong Tire (601966) issued an announcement, in order to further promote the realization of the global industrial layout of Shandong Linglong Tire Co., Ltd., increase market share, and enhance the overall competitiveness of the company. According to the company's recent investigation, it was decided to build China's sixth production base in Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province.
The total investment budget of the project is 60.65 million yuan. The construction is divided into three phases. It is planned to start the preliminary procedures in the second half of 2021. The plant construction will start in April 2022 and will be completed in March 2028. The total construction period is 6 years.
After the project is completed, it can achieve an annual output of 12 million sets of semi-steel radial tires, 3 million sets of all-steel radial tires, 100,000 sets of aviation tires (including 60,000 sets of retreaded tires), 100,000 sets of special tires, 500,000 sets of retreaded automobile tires, and 1 million sets of inner tubes and cushion belts.
